Colourful jewellery | The happiest trend of the year!

#1: Colourful painted enamel jewellery

Whimsical, bright and fun, painted enamel jewellery is our favourite vintage-inspired jewellery style to have been given a twist for 2024. Enamel jewellery is traditionally black or white, but for this new season we’re seeing it in all the brightest colours of the rainbow and all the funkiest shapes, and we couldn’t be happier about it. Our Island Flowers Collection includes statement rings and necklace charms, all of which have been given a colourful makeover for the new year and we can’t wait to style every piece up with our spring/summer pieces. Brighten up a neutral co-ord with a pop of pink on your fingers, add a brighter element to your black dress outfit with a charming colourful necklace, or simply go all-out on the colour front with an on-trend colourful knitted cardigan, and stacked enamel jewellery. The choice is all yours!

#2: Go big with bright rhinestones & gemstones

Gemstones have never gone out of style, mainly because they’re the ultimate classy, statement jewellery piece to have in your collection. From bright green emeralds to passionate garnets, calming aquamarine to shimmering zirconias, gemstones are our forever favourite jewellery element. They add a touch of shimmer and sparkle to every outfit, from your go-to everyday fit to your fancy going out outfit, making gemstone jewellery the ultimate must-have colourful jewellery style to get your hands on. From mismatched dangly earrings to cocktail rings, gem adorned necklaces to charm bracelets, no jewellery style has managed to escape the gemstone makeover. We’ve gone crazy for a more maximalist jewellery style this year, so it’s about time you embraced the rhinestones and added a bit of colour to your jewellery collection.

#3: Beaded bracelets and more

While we’ve always appreciated a colourful braided number, picked it up from a pretty hippie market in Ibiza or at a beachfront shop in Bali (only to be worn during our travels), this year, we’re encouraging you to embrace colourful handcrafted jewellery a little closer to home and all year round! Beaded bracelets, in fact beaded anything, is totally making a comeback and is a huge colourful jewellery trend for the year. We love a mismatched beaded bracelet, handcrafted in look and feel, with pearls, colourful beads and touches of gold. Small semi-precious stones or birthstones are another wonderful addition to a colourful jewellery stack, plus we love the meaning of our birthstones. When it comes to beaded bracelets, we firmly believe you can never have too many, so stack ‘em high and in all the colours of the rainbow and spread the joy of your summer holidays all year round!

#4: Unusual materials make the funnest colourful jewellery

Harking back to their Y2K heyday, this year we’re also seeing loads of unexpected materials being turned into fun and funky colourful jewellery. Materials such as resin, glass, and lucite are all being turned into the cutest jewellery for women. Often created in pastel colours, sometimes with rhinestone accents, and almost always with a kind of translucent vibe, this style of colourful jewellery feels light and airy making it the ultimate spring/summer trend. Add a playful twist to an otherwise cool and understated jumpsuit or women’s suit look by adorning your hands with a couple of unexpectedly colourful & fun jewellery materials. Alternatively, take the frivolity all the way by pairing your colourful jewellery with a fun ‘n flirty skirt and crop top, for the ultimate in ‘I’m just here for a good time, not a long time’ vibes. This year is all about making fashion fun again, and where better to start than by adding a whole bunch of radiant colourful jewellery to your jewellery box!
